Vincent Fanuele
Carpentry Instructor, Madison Park Technical Vocational Technical High School

Vincent (Vinny) Fanuele is a tenured carpentry instructor at Madison Park Technical Vocational High School in Boston. A 1972 graduate of Hyde Park High School and a scholarship recipient, Vinny was initially college bound. But a summer job in construction introduced him to a hidden passion for construction. He relinquished his scholarship, thus beginning a 35-year career in the construction field.

Vinny worked in construction for nine years before becoming the proprietor of The Fanuele Corporation, a residential remodeling and renovation company. Years later, Vinny accepted an invitation to teach an adult evening class in carpentry for Roxbury Community College. This experienced opened his eyes to his second passion, teaching. So he earned his teaching certificate and fused his love for construction and teaching by joining Boston’s only technical/vocational high school, Madison Park Technical Vocational High School as a teacher in its carpentry department. Over his tenure, Vinny has developed and conducted safety and career readiness skills programs, implemented a two-family on-campus construction theme, developed an off-campus authenthic work program and worked with various mentoring and outreach programs. Always a proponent for his students, he bestows upon them not only the carpentry skills required for their vocational training but the career readiness skills needed to gain and maintain job opportunities.

Vinny worked with TCMG during the CMP’s pilot year, assisting and ensuring that the program incorporated the state vocational competencies its framework. Vinny’s commitment and passion for CMP’s success is why we are honored to have him return and serve on our advisory board.
