Doreen Harris

Doreen Harris
Educational Consultant

An educator for 28 years, Doreen holds a master of education from Boston University, a bachelor of science in sociology from Suffolk University, and training certification in 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. She spent her entire career in the Boston Public School System, most recently serving as Cooperative Educational Counselor, providing placement, site-supervision and follow-up services for students participating in cooperative work-experiences at Madison Park Vocational Technical High School.

Throughout her tenure as an educator, Doreen earned a reputation for commitment and exceeding expectations among her peers. Beloved by her students for her dedication, she has worked through vacations and personal time, serving voluntarily on boards and advisory committees to further enhance her student's’ educational experiences. She has even provided tutorial services to her students in their homes.

In 2011 Doreen retired from the Boston Public School System. Today she actively volunteers, serving on the Steward Board of Bethel AME Church in Jamaica Plain, the Board of Directors of Urban Home Makers and the Board of Generation Excel (an inner city youth organization). TCMG is thrilled to have Doreen serve as advisory board member, providing her support and educational services to the CMP. Doreen was one of the initial educators at Madison Park Vocational Technical High School who were instrumental in launching TCMG’s pilot year of our Construction Mentor Program.
